Using Skype & Fring Over 3G or EDGE on iPhone

I know how’re you’re feeling for not being able to use Skype or Fring on the run over 3G/EDGE. I personally used to be annoyed over this. Well, I did patch Fring to use over 3G as I posted here before. But doing that was a bit of a hassle. But fortunately you don’t have to go through that hassle anymore. To patch either Fring or Skype now, all you’ve to do is intall VoIPover3G & Mobile Substrate and you’re done. The only catch is, you’ve to have a Jailbroken iPhone and Cydia installed. Finally (after a long time sitting in our to-do list) we’ve optimised our site to be nicely viewable on the iPhone. xGPS Brings Turn-by-Turn Directions to iPhone

Have you been using the GPS on your iPhone 3G on a regular basis? If you ask me the same question then then answer is no. Why? I am sure you know the answer. That dotted move on the map is pretty much useless when you’re driving and trying to follow a direction. Why Apple don’t feel the need for a Turn-by-Turn Direction with voice support and not even allowing companies such as TomTom to develop an iPhone version of their app is out of my understanding. But the good news is, finally turn-by-turn navigation with voice direction has come to iPhone in the form of xGPS.
